This Cookie Policy explains how Loupe uses cookies and similar technologies, and how you can control them. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include local storage and pixels. They help a site work, remember your choices, keep you signed in, and, where you allow it, measure how the site is used.

The categories we use

Strictly necessary (always on). These are required for the Service to function and cannot be switched off. They include cookies that keep you signed in and secure (authentication and session), remember your cookie choices, and protect against fraud and abuse. Because they are essential, we rely on them without consent, as the law allows.

Analytics (consent required). These help us understand how Loupe is used so we can improve it, for example, which pages are visited and where errors occur. We only set these after you consent, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Where used, analytics is configured to minimise personal information (for example, IP truncation where available).

Marketing (consent required). If we ever use cookies to measure or deliver marketing, we will only do so with your consent. We do not use cookies for third-party advertising, and we do not sell your information.

Your choices

When you first visit Loupe (and whenever your saved choice expires), you will see a consent banner letting you Accept, Reject, or Manage non-essential cookies. Strictly necessary cookies are always on; everything else is off by default until you opt in. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time from the cookie settings link in the footer.

You can also control cookies through your browser settings, but blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the Service working.

Our banner does not use "consent walls" for essential functionality, treats no choice as a rejection of non-essential cookies, and makes rejecting as easy as accepting, consistent with Australian guidance and the GDPR/ePrivacy expectations.

Cookies we set

The specific cookies, their purpose, and their lifetimes will be listed here once analytics is finalised (Phase 11). At minimum:

• Session/auth (strictly necessary), keeps you signed in securely; expires on sign-out or session end.
• Consent choice (strictly necessary), remembers your banner choice; typically up to 6 months.
• Analytics (consent required), only set if you accept; retention limited per provider settings.

Changes

We may update this Policy as our tools change. The "last updated" date shows the current version.
